Teide, Icod, Garachico and Masca

On this tour you will be guided up towards majestic Teide via the highest municipal capital in Spain, Vilaflor where here we will make our first stop.

Onwards through the tall pine forest we will go until we reach the cauldron of Las Cañadas at the heart of Teide National Park with its amazing landscapes, colours and geographical history.

A short stop at the Roque de Garcia will give us great opportunity for panoramic photos of Teide en route to the Orotava valley where we will drop down to the north coast of Tenerife and the town of Icod de Los Vinos, famous for the “Drago Tree” an icon of canarian culture and endurance.

Here we will meander to Garachico an important market town founded over 500 years ago becoming a key trading port for the island, with natural rock pools, great views and excellent examples of traditional canarian food, here we will pause to eat (not included) recommending a restaurant for you to join us or you can take some time to wonder around the many sights and shops.

Once recharged we start the journey back home with stops on the way by a mountain pass over deep ravines and tall peaks to one of the most remote yet significant villages in all of the canaries, Masca.

Truly spectacular scenery for your to enjoy and views of La Gomera and with luck La Palma you´ll appreciate why the small number of residents (around 100) make this difficult to access village, even by road, home.
